About Biondo Rentals

Melbourne Forklift Hire Experts

Biondo Rentals is a family-owned, independent business built on a foundation of genuine expertise — with a team of various skill sets, industry background and experience, we have the ability to cover a wide range of machinery and repairs.

The story begins in 1965, when founder Sam Biondo started his career as a dedicated forklift mechanic with WAT (Caterpillar). Sam’s passion for the industry and deep mechanical knowledge gave him a foundation that few could match. In 1978, he took the leap and ventured out on his own — starting from nothing more than the back of a Toyota Corolla station wagon.

From those humble beginnings, Sam built a business that grew steadily and purposefully. Over the years, Biondo Rentals expanded to include a diverse fleet of forklifts, telehandlers, and a dedicated transport fleet to deliver machines to customers across Melbourne and beyond. A team of onsite service vans was also established, ensuring customers experienced minimal downtime when it mattered most.

Today, the business is led by Paul Biondo, Sam’s son and current Director, who continues the family tradition of putting customers and quality first. Under Paul’s leadership, Biondo Rentals has grown substantially — expanding its hire fleet, adding a dedicated sales yard, and opening a brand-new showroom in Dandenong South where customers can inspect new, used, and demonstration equipment in person.

Still proudly family-owned and independent after more than 45 years, Biondo Rentals combines the personal service of a family business with the resources and expertise of one of Melbourne’s most experienced materials handling companies.
